Noah Adekunle Aluko is a graduate research assistant pursuing who recently completed his Master of Science in Mining Engineering at Missouri University of Science & Technology (Missouri S&T). His research interests include mining equipment monitoring, energy efficiency optimization in mining, application of data analytics to equipment monitoring data, and sustainability in mining. Noah is focused on conducting cutting-edge research in mine planning, design, schedule optimization, and energy efficiency modeling.

Noah’s educational journey began with a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining Engineering from Federal University of Technology Akure, Nigeria. He later embarked on his master’s degree at Missouri S&T, where he is currently engaged in research that evaluates the impact of operator practices on hydraulic shovel energy consumption and productivity using telemetry data.

In addition to his academic pursuits, Noah has gained practical experience through internships and work experiences, including a geotechnical engineering internship at RioTinto Kennecott. He has a strong foundation in technical skills such as mining, geotechnical engineering, tailings management, and project engineering. Noah’s expertise also extends to mathematical areas, including data science, analytics, and statistics.

Noah is not only a proficient researcher but also an adept communicator, regularly presenting his findings to faculty and peers. His dedication to the mining industry is reflected in his membership in esteemed professional organizations such as the National Society of Professional Engineers and the Society for Mining Metallurgy and Exploration SME.

Beyond his academic and professional accomplishments, Noah is an active participant in various community and extracurricular activities, demonstrating a well-rounded personality. His interests span from field trips, traveling, writing, and reading to physical activities like gym workouts, swimming, and tennis.
