Dr. Awuah-Offei is the Union Pacific/Rocky Mountain Energy Professor of Mining Engineering at Missouri University of Science & Technology (Missouri S&T). His research facilitates sustainable decisions and mining processes.

Dr. Que is a professor in the College of River and Ocean Engineering, Chongqing Jiaotong University, Chongqing 400074, China. Her research interests include design for sustainability; community engagement; social license to operate; Sustainability; mining; simulation, and optimization.

Atta Ur Rehman, PhD

Dr. Ur Rehman is a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Texas at Austin. He holds a PhD from Missouri University of Science & Technology, Rolla, MO. His research interests include life cycle assessment, excavation science and engineering, discrete element modeling, and mine health and safety.

Ajay Gurumadaiah

Dr. Gurumadaiah is a post-doctoral fellow in our group. He holds a PhD from Chung Ang University, Seoul, South Korea. His research focuses on robotics with experience in UAV navigation and pipeline inspection, Level 4 autonomous driving, and mobility on demand.

Ioanna Paschalidou

Ms. Paschalidou is a PhD candidate in mining engineering. She holds BS and MS degrees in mining engineering. His research interests include life cycle assessment, critical minerals, and mining sustainability.

Eugene Gyawu

Mr. Gyawu is a PhD candidate in mining engineering. He holds a BS in geological engineering from University of Mines & Technology (Ghana) and MS in geology and geophysics from Missouri S&T. His research interests include human factors, miner self-escape, virtual reality, and mine health and safety.

Hussam Altalhi

Mr. Altalhi is a PhD candidate in mining engineering. He holds an MS in mining engineering from Missouri University of Science & Technology and a BS in mining engineering from King Abdul Aziz University, Saudi Arabia. His research interests include optimization applications in mining and mine planning and design.

Cyrus Addy

Mr. Addy is a PhD student in mining engineering. He holds a BS in mechanical engineering from University of Mines & Technology (Ghana) and MS in electrical power from Newcastle University (UK). His research interests include robotics, object detection, artificial intelligence, human factors, miner self-escape, and mine health and safety.

Ms. Otarod is a PhD candidate in geology/geophysics and a Physical Scientist Pathway Fellow U.S. Geological Survey, National Minerals Information Center, Minerals Intelligence Research Section.

Noah Aluko

Mr. Aluko holds an MS degree in mining engineering from Missouri University of Science & Technology and a BEng degree in mining engineering from the Federal University of Technology Akure, Nigeria. His research interests include mining sustainability and mine planning and design.
